This is my most recent finish, Counting Magpies. I have a small obsession with black birds on my stitching. Where it came from is a mystery.

more soup

Tried the mushroom barely soup recipe from How to Cook Everything.
It was not a success. I must be a soup idiot.

Anyway I added some cake pictures, plus a few previous craft endeavors to my flickr. I'm still plugging away, albeit extremely slowly, on my massive cross stitch piece. It's the boyo's birthday this weekend, so baking, frosting, and wrapping will take precedence over crafting.

Pea soup

My first ever soup experiment was (sort of) a success. I made the Good Eats Curried Split Pea. It smelled heavenly, and tasted wonderful. The problem? After it was in the bowl 2 minutes it had turned the consistency of dip. Next time: more liquid.
